The largest wine bottle was produced by Kavalierglass, a.s. for Templar

The Templars have the biggest wine bottle. Two meters, seven centimeters and six millimeters. This is the height of the largest wine bottle in the Czech Republic. Its owner is the wine cooperative Templar Cellars in Čejkovice.

The record-breaking bottle has a volume of two hundred litres, weighs forty-one kilograms when empty and is the work of Sázava glassmakers from the Kavalierglass glassworks. It was modelled on classic Templar bottles. “The entire bottle consists of four parts, three of which are made using the blown technology and the fourth is pressed. The individual parts are cooked on a lathe. The whole bottle is made of clear glass. All our products are made of borosilicate glass, which is chemically and heat resistant. After each heat operation, it must be allowed to cool down due to the internal stresses in the glass,” explained the technical procedures in the production of the unique product, the production manager of the Kavalierglass plant in Sázava.

The record-breaking bottle is also adapted for easy use and cleaning, which is why a spout with a tap is welded into the bottom.
